The Chase Hotel in Ross-on-Wye in the perfect base for sightseeing breaks in Herefordshire.

The area boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage, and there are a choice of tourist attractions to visit in The Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.

There are museums and art galleries around The Forest of Dean, such as the lovely ‘Nature in Art’ with its collection of natural art within a stunning Georgian Mansion House.

There are potteries and craft markets such as ‘Hart’s Barn Craft Centre’ and Taurus Crafts’, giving a real taste of the local artistic culture.

There are a wealth of other Wye Valley tourist attractions, with Eastnor Castle, cathedrals, Three Choirs Vineyard, Weston’s Cider House, and a vibrant choice of local towns to welcome you.

Eastnor Castle

A fairytale Georgian castle situated in the foothills of the Malverns, nr Ledbury and surrounded by a beautiful arboretum and lake. The castle is the home of the Hervey-Bathurst family and its lavish interiors contain medieval armour, fine art and a Gothic Drawing Room designed by AW Pugin. The castle is open to the public during the summer on certain days only and for groups throughout the year on Mondays and Tuesdays subject to availability.

 

 

 

Harts Barn Craft Centre & Cookery School

The Harts Barn site is home to many talented craftspeople and artists with shops selling everything from jewellery and wood carvings to modern art and vintage homeware. We also offer a cookery school running hands-on cooking classes, holiday activities, events, fun and interesting demos and themed cook and dine evenings. Concessions for some of the facilities are available for guests of The Chase Hotel.
